In Initial Public Offers BRLM's decide the Price band to the Issue before the Issue opens for subscription.
The minimum number of the bid amount like not exceeding Rs. 1,00,000/- decides by the BRLM.
My query here is how to decide the minimum number of shares the the subscribers has to subscribe for?How to calculate Minimum number of Shares after giving the Price Band to a Public Issue before filing it ROC?
there will be a lot size given, investor has to apply minimum of 1 lot or in multiples of the same.
lot size is calculated in such way
suppose for ABC company the price band is 200 to 250 rs.
so in 1 lac shares you can get maximum of 400 shares (considering the maximum price of 250 i.e. higher band).
now the lot will be in any multiples, such that application will not exceed 1 lac rs.
