Yes, it should fit the trans tunnel without any clearance issues. You may have to cut a new hole for the shifter or enlarge the existing one. Some other things to be aware of are the camaro came with a hydraulic clutch so you will have to transfer the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder to the nova. You will also have to fab a push rod for the clutch pedal to actuate the master cylinder. The T-5 is not known for it's strength (you could only get it behind a 305) but it should be fine in a street rod or cruiser. If you plan to put serious power to it and drive aggressively, you may want to spend some money on some upgrades to strengthen the trans. Search for G-Force transmission on the web to learn more about upgrades.
