Why not ROC(Taiwan) claim PRC to be a part of it?

Just like how PRC claiming ROC(Taiwan)? Why not ROC(Taiwan) claim PRC to be a part of it?
This is a very good question. However, under the laws of the Republic of China, the mainland China territories are in fact part of the ROC.

Some people will doubt the validity of this assertion. Hence, I should make some further clarifications.

Although there were some ';political statements'; made by the ROC government officials since the early 1990's to the effect that the ROC no longer claims jurisdiction over the ';mainland areas,'; such statements are not recognized as valid by the ROC courts in Taiwan. As you know, the courts often have the task of interpreting the laws of the country.

Hence, under ROC laws (including the Constitution) here in 2008 the mainland areas are still part of ROC territory, and persons from the mainland areas are not ';foreigners.';Why not ROC(Taiwan) claim PRC to be a part of it?
To be strict with Kuomintang's theoretical position, they are still the ruling party of China.

There is no such country as PRC.

So, why do they need to claim PRC is part of ROC?
