Rates of change..Find the roc of the volume of deflating ballon?

V=4/3 pie r^3

so, the ROC is -4pie r^2

how do you find the roc when r=5 cm,

I went -4(5) pie r^2 = -20 pie r^2 but this is wrong?

Please explain?Rates of change..Find the roc of the volume of deflating ballon?
First off, it's not pie, it's just pi.

You're on the right track. The volume of a sphere is 4/3 pi r^3

The rate of change is -4 pi r^2

If you want the rate of change when r = 5, substitute r = 5 into the equation for the rate of change.

rate = -4 pi (5)^2 = -100 pi

There you go!
